Little Farmers

Introducing our new Little Farmers Program for 4 and 5 year olds!
Little Farmers has been a dream of mine for years, as I am always brainstorming ways to expand our Cottonwood Farm to children of all ages. In our culture today, I believe the value of learning through play has been lost. Studies show that children today, on average, spend less than one hour a week in the great outdoors. The digital age our children are growing up in is restricting their natural curiosity. The benefits of a child exploring their environment with their peers through decision making and critical thinking lead to confidence in their social, emotional, and intellectual growth as a young child. I am passionate about giving more children in our community a chance and a place to explore in a safe, beautiful environment, and enjoy the moments God gives them to be a child.

What Is Little Farmers?
Little Farmers will be a program that allows your child to thrive, make new friends, and grow in confidence in their learning. It is not a preschool, and it is not a daycare; the program instead is a Mother's Day Out program, with the added beauty of farm life and a small class size. This program will be a 6:1 ratio, and will be open during the school year, starting this August to May 2026-2027. The day will begin at 9 am and end at 2 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We have a newly designed indoor classroom, as well as an outdoor play area on the farm. The year will be filled with themes that coincide with the seasons of the year. Each month will have a new theme filled with literacy, math activities, music, science, art, and crafts based on. Our playground area will include amazing toys for strengthening gross motor skills and fine motor skills. Along with learning about plants through our camp garden, the children will also learn how to care for baby chicks, hens, goats, and horses on the farm. Please feel free to email me for any questions you may have!
